A virtual Christmas tree your friends decorate

How it works

1. Make your tree

   Pick one of 6 tree designs and 9 toppers, and give your tree a name.

2. Share the link

   Post it in your Instagram story or send it to a family, class or team group chat.

3. Friends hang gifts

   Each friend picks one of 61 gifts and writes a message of up to 500 characters, from any phone or computer.

4. Open them on Christmas Day

   The gifts stay wrapped until December 25, so the tree fills up while you count down.

Who it’s for

• Friends: one link in your story, and your tree fills up by Christmas.
• Family far away: grandparents and cousins can write from any phone, with nothing to install.
• A class or a team: share one tree in the group chat; everyone leaves a note, and the teacher or team lead reads them on the day.

Decorate it yourself, or let friends do it?

You choose the tree and its topper; the decorations come from your friends, and every gift they hang carries a message that only you can read. If you’d rather place ornaments on a tree by yourself, a decorating game suits you better. My Tree is for collecting messages from the people you care about.

Is it free?

Yes. Making a tree, sharing it and receiving messages costs nothing, and every gift is free to send from the web. There is nothing to download: it all runs in the browser, on iPhone too.
