How to sign in to Deco My Tree
Open the sign-in screen
Go to decomytree.link/create-tree, or tap Sign in next to “Already have a tree?” on the home page.
Sign in the way you signed up
Made your tree with Google or Apple? Tap Continue with Google or Continue with Apple. Otherwise type your email, then your password, and tap Continue.
Your tree opens
You see your tree, your link, your 8-character tree code and every gift friends have hung so far.
Forgot your password?
- On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot your password?
- Type your email and tap Send code. We email you a 6-digit code from noreply@decomytree.link.
- Enter the code, choose a new password of at least 6 characters and tap Save. You’re signed in right away.
The code works for one hour. No email? Check your spam folder. If you asked for more than one code, use the one in the newest email.
What the sign-in messages mean
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Wrong password. | There’s an account with this email, but the password doesn’t match | Check for typos and capital letters, or tap Forgot your password? |
| No account found | No tree was made with this email on decomytree.link | Try your other email address, or create a new tree in a minute |
| This account signs in with Google (or Apple) | You made your tree with Google or Apple | Tap Continue with Google or Continue with Apple instead of typing a password |
| This code isn’t right. | The code was mistyped or comes from an older email | Use the code in the newest email |
| This code has expired or was already used. | Each code works once, for one hour | Tap Send code again |
Made your tree last year?
We clear out old trees, so a tree from last season may be gone. You can create a new one in under a minute, with the same email if you like.
Made your tree in another app? Its login only works there. A tree on decomytree.link has its own sign-in, and messages can’t move from one app to another.
Still can’t sign in?
- Open the page in Safari or Chrome. Inside Instagram or TikTok, the Google and Apple sign-in windows often don’t open.
- Check your email address. A typo such as gmial.com is the most common reason we can’t find an account. The sign-in screen suggests a fix when it spots one.
- Passwords are case-sensitive. Check Caps Lock and what your browser filled in for you.
- Still stuck? Write to support@decomytree.link from your tree’s email address.
Do friends need to sign in?
No. Only the tree owner signs in. Friends open your link, or type your 8-character tree code at decomytree.link/send-message, and leave a gift without an account.
Questions
How do I log in to Deco My Tree?
Open decomytree.link/create-tree and tap Sign in. Then continue with Google or Apple, or type the email and password you chose when you made your tree.
I forgot my Deco My Tree password. What do I do?
Tap Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen. We email you a 6-digit code: enter it and choose a new password.
Why does Deco My Tree say “No account found”?
No tree was made with that email here. Check it for typos or try your other email. Trees from last season are cleared out, so you may need to make a new one.
Can I sign in with Google or Apple?
Yes, on the website. Always sign in the way you signed up: a Google or Apple sign-in doesn’t open a tree made with an email and password.
Do I need an account to send a message?
No. Only the tree owner has an account. Senders only need the tree link or the tree code.
